How do I clean my ThermX mug?

We recommend hand washing the body because dishwashers can damage the space-grade material and weaken the vacuum insulation.

However, the lid is dishwasher safe and can be disassembled when necessary.

Do I need to charge my ThermX mug?

Not at all! The ThermX Magic Mug is completely non-electric and the material works all on its own. No sensors or circuits messing with your drinks.

How many times in a row can I use my ThermX?

Multiple uses between rinsing can lead to slower cooling.

For the best results we recommend rinsing your ThermX with cool water between each use so that the material can release any extra stored-up heat. This way the material can stay fresh and ready-to-go!

Does my ThermX work with hot tea?

ThermX works with any hot beverage!

We pulled out all the stops to make sure you can fill your ThermX to the brim with boiling hot water and still safely enjoy it just two minutes later.

Is my ThermX leak-proof?

Absolutely! We designed the lid to be totally spill AND leak-proof when closed so that you can carry it around worry-free.

Just remember to turn on the 'safety lock' on the lid! The leak-proof cap comes with a safety lock

How durable is my ThermX?

The body is built with 304 grade 18/8 stainless steel inside and out. We wanted to make a life-proof product that could withstand the regular drops and bumps you'd expect during daily life.

The space-grade material has been tested extensively and showed no significant loss of performance after 6000x cycles. For the average coffee drinker (at 3.2 cups per day,) that's over 5 years of perfect coffee! As for the lid, we are still in the process of figuring out a win-win lid replacement policy. But until we figure that out, we'll do our best to replace any broken lids so that you can continue using your ThermX!

Does my ThermX work for cold drinks too?

It does! In this case it basically works the same way as a regular travel mug.

The space-grade material inside will not affect cold drinks unless it already has heat stored in it. That means the vacuum insulation will keep your drinks cold for up to 10 hours.

Will ThermX change the way my coffee tastes?

Yes and no. While ThermX itself does not add or change any of the flavors in your coffee, you may notice new flavors and notes in your favorite coffee that were previously obscured because your coffee was too hot or your taste buds scorched.

Is using ThermX mugs safe?

Absolutely! The only things touching your drink are stainless steel and BPA free plastic.

Also, the space-grade material is completely non-toxic so even if something managed to puncture the inner layer of steel, you'd still be in good hands.
